Explore Tech Transfer with AI
The USC Stevens Innovation Assistant is a specialized AI resource for USC researchers and innovators. Unlike general-purpose ChatGPT, it is grounded in Stevens-specific materials, including USC policies, internal training documents, 20 years of FAQs and guidance, and information about how Stevens evaluates, protects, licenses, and commercializes innovation.
It can answer questions, draft invention disclosures, identify missing information, conduct technology landscape reviews, suggest commercialization and patent strategies, and explain Stevens processes. Topics include patents, software, copyright, data, AI, startups, licensing, research agreements, and the 2026 USC Intellectual Property Policy.
The AI Assistant does not provide legal advice or replace the Stevens team. It provides practical guidance and connects researchers with appropriate Stevens resources.
