Dr. Erin Overstreet has been named the Executive Director of the USC Stevens Center for Innovation. With more than 16 years of experience in academic technology transfer, licensing, industry partnerships, and research administration, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, manages the university’s extensive IP portfolio, facilitates collaboration between university researchers and industry partners, supports the formation of startups on the commercialization path, and brings inventions to market for the betterment of society.
In her first week, Dr. Overstreet shares her initial goals and mission leading the office and supporting inventors and researchers at the institution. “As I embark on my journey as the Executive Director of the USC Stevens Center for Innovation, I’m filled with a profound sense of excitement and responsibility. USC is a beacon of research excellence and entrepreneurial vigor, renowned for its cutting-edge research and impactful projects,” said Dr. Overstreet. “This new role brings with it great opportunities and challenges, and I am ready to embrace them wholeheartedly. I aim to build and grow on the Center’s existing foundation while charting new courses in innovation and collaboration.
