Noel Covarrubias, MSIO

Noel is the Senior Financial and Data Analyst and Senior Office Technician Specialist at the Stevens Center. He manages the daily operations of USC’s tech transfer database with a focus on data integrity, analysis, management, and reporting, which includes internal and external metrics. He also streamlines financial procedures, improving efficiency and accuracy, while overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, data audits, and reporting for tech transfer activities and finances.

Before joining the Stevens Center, Noel was a paraprofessional for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he held various responsibilities and was in charge of purchase orders, multiple budgets, and the management of school supply and equipment inventory. He was an IT resource for over 1000 students and 100 staff. He diagnosed and repaired technology-related problems throughout campus and school labs and created an e-ticket system that simplified school requests for both users and administrative staff.

Noel earned a BA in Cognitive Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and a MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
