Madison Fette
Madison is a Licensing Intern and a fifth-year PhD candidate in Chemistry working under the supervision of Professor Travis Williams. Her research focuses on designing materials for sustainable thermoset composites, specifically focusing on the synthesis of novel thermoset polymers with inherent recyclability and adhesives for secondary bonding of composite materials.
She was a 2025 Sonosky Fellow with the Wrigley Institute, which introduced her to the diverse range of professions beyond traditional laboratory scientists involved in translating academic research into real-world application, which has inspired her to further explore similar opportunities. Her undergraduate research experience instilled a passion for materials design and inspired her to pursue a PhD in chemistry.
Madison earned her BS from Dominican University, where she completed research under the guidance of Professor Amartya Chakrabarti involving nanomaterial synthesis for battery applications and an REU internship at Northwestern University centered around materials design for lithium-ion batteries.
