Every year, students from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering participate in satellite graduation ceremonies, which includes the Ph.D. hooding, Viterbi-specific undergraduate, and 2 M.S. graduate ceremonies. This year, over 3,200 engineering students are expected to participate in these satellite ceremonies. These ceremonies will be featuring the following notable keynote speakers:
- Undergraduate ceremony: Mark Stevens, alumnus, Managing Partner of S-Cubed Capital, and USC Life Trustee
- General M.S. ceremony: Melissa Orme, alumna, Vice President of Boeing Additive Manufacturing
- M.S. in Computer Science ceremony: Nariman Yousefi, alumnus, Executive Vice President, Automotive, Coherent DSP and Switch Group, Marvell Technologies
USC Senior Vice President of Research Strategy and Innovation, Dr. Ishwar K. Puri, would like to share a few words regarding the announcement of Mark Stevens as a keynote speaker for USC Viterbi’s satellite commencement:
“We are so pleased to advance Mark Stevens’ vision to accelerate the commercialization of innovative discoveries from USC’s world leading research.”
USC Associate Vice President of Research Strategy and Innovation, and current USC Stevens Center Interim Executive Director, Dr. Steven Moldin, also had a few words to share on this exciting news:
“We are gratified that Mark Stevens’ significant contributions to the university have helped to advance our mission in pursuit of academic and scientific excellence.”
