Congratulations to USC professors Salman Avestimehr, Murali Annavaram, and Bhaskar Krishnamachari in the USC Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering, who were recently awarded a $4.2 million contract from DARPA to solve dispersed computing. DARPA’s Dispersed Computing program seeks innovation in network protocols and scalable, robust decision systems that enable secure, collective tasking of computing assets, particularly in environments where network connectivity is highly variable and degraded.
