Funding Opportunity: USC Stevens announces TAG program
The USC Stevens Center for Innovation is pleased to announce a new competitive grant program to support early stage technologies invented at USC through validation or proof-of-concept development.
The USC Stevens Technology Advancement Grants (TAG) program offers competitive awards of up to $50,000 to fund USC research. TAGs have a competitive two-step application process comprising an initial review by USC Stevens’ staff and a final review and recommendation by an external advisory board of industry experts.
The purpose of the grants is to add value to unlicensed USC-owned technology, aiming to increase the probability of obtaining a license in the future.
USC Stevens is planning to accept proposals from USC researchers twice a year during announced Request for Proposals (RFP) periods. USC Stevens will announce its next submissions deadline in the future. The first round ended March 4, 2016 and proposals are currently being reviewed.
