Taylor Phillips, J.D. is a Licensing Associate at the USC Stevens Center for Innovation and brings over three years of technology transfer experience to his role.
Phillips previously served as a Licensing Manager on the physical sciences team at Ohio State University, focusing on supporting faculty with engineering, device, and software licensing. He also worked for two years as a patent licensing intern at Tech Launch Arizona, the office of technology transfer for the University of Arizona.
Phillips holds a J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, focusing on Intellectual Property and Patent Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology from the University of California, Davis. While in law school, Phillips was the co-founder of the school’s first intellectual property society, and was instrumental in working with the dean to develop the new intellectual property and cyber law program at the University of Arizona.
Phillips is an active member of the Association of University Technology Managers, the Licensing Executives Society, and the National Lawyers Guild.
