Caltech Biotechnology Club Intellectual Property and Patent Law Night

Our Patent Law and Intellectual Property Night event will be a networking event devoted to giving our club members and campus community the opportunity to learn more about careers in IP-patent law directly from professionals in these fields. A secondary goal of our event is to help give members of this profession a chance to meet and interact with the pool of talented students and professionals at Caltech. Also, the representatives in attendance are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to also network with the other professionals of their field in attendance. Because the focus of the event is not on job recruitment, but rather, on simply learning about careers in these fields through the sharing of personal experiences, we hope that our Patent Law and Intellectual Property Night will help educate our club members and campus community on the wealth of opportunities that exist after Caltech and outside of academia in this particular field.

Itinerary
4:30pm- Representatives from participating organizations arrive and interact before the event opens
4:50pm- Event opened to Caltech students, post-docs, staff and alumni
5:00pm- Keynote speech - TBA
5:20pm- Representatives’ introduction (30 sec each)
5:30pm- Networking event with organization representatives (w/ ‘finger’ foods and refreshments)
7:30-8:00pm- Event ends
