Patrick Maloney, J.D. is a Licensing Associate at the USC Stevens Center for Innovation, bringing legal and scientific backgrounds to his role.
Prior to joining USC Stevens, Maloney was a patent litigator in Los Angeles at one of the top patent post-grant litigation firms in the country, where he represented clients in proceedings involving a wide range of technologies and helped clients with evaluating and licensing intellectual property. He also worked for the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of California, Davis and the United States Patent and Trademark Office and previously worked as a chemist at a tech company in the Bay Area.
Maloney earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a J.D. from the University of California, Davis. He is an active member of the Association of University Technology Managers, and the bars of the State of California and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
