USC Keck Faculty Researcher Awarded $6.9 Million in NIH Funding

Congratulations to Dr. Zea Borok, professor of medicine, chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and director of the Hastings Center for Pulmonary Research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, who has earned a seven-year, $6.9 million grant to support her research on lung cell regeneration. The grant is provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and will promote research that could translate into new treatments for common lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
