Dr. Mark Humayun receives National Medal of Technology

USC’s Dr. Mark Humayun received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from the President of the United States in a ceremony on January 22, 2016. The medal is the nation’s highest honor for achievement and leadership in advancing the fields of science and technology, according to the White House. Congratulations to Dr. Humayun, an ophthalmology expert with a special focus on nanotechnology and the retina, who is a faculty member at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, and has directed the Engineering Research Center Biomimetic Electronics Systems Center since 2003.
