Ed Beres joined USC in July 2002 as a licensing associate and handles technology licensing in engineering and the physical sciences.  His professional background includes engineering positions at Boeing and Failure Analysis Associates (now Exponent, Inc.) More recently, he has held product management and market strategy positions with Southern California Edison and Hydrogen Burner Technology, a start-up company that designed and manufactured products for the fuel cell industry.  He obtained a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno (summa cum laude), and an MS in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
