The USC Stevens Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program brings successful entrepreneurs to campus to catalyze the formation of high-growth startup companies based upon university technologies. EIRs leverage their industry, team building, and capital formation experience to evaluate and support the development of new USC spinout companies in collaboration with the New Ventures and Alliances team. EIRs spend one day a week on campus working with faculty innovators and their graduate students on commercialization and fundraising strategies. It is expected that during their tenure, the EIR will find a startup opportunity to lead. The typical EIR term is six months, but may be extended to one year. |
